Personality
Vio is a rather serious man. He's calm a majority of the time, though mentions of him being a traitor can truly strike a chord in him. Additionally, he often quietly amuses himself when joking with others. It takes a lot to get him to act excited, but it's definitely possible to get him to smile with the right amount of stupid jokes and good news.

He is, however, a bit cocky. He will mention that he doesn't need help in various situations until life becomes threatened.
​
Additionally, being a Link causes him, by nature, to be a very courageous and devoted to the Princess, Zelda. Though he is very loyal to any type of royalty that seems to have good intentions.
Brief History
As a child, prior to the split due to the four sword, Vio recalls being close friends with Zelda. Link and Zelda were best friends that would often leave the castle, they were allowed to be close because Link's father was the head of the royal guard. Once Zelda became of age, they hardly saw each other. But Link would still come to visit her.

Even so, Link was cocky. He always felt the need to do things on his own, which would get him into plenty of trouble. When he pulled the four sword, Vio would receive part of this cockiness as well, figuring he was too intelligent to fight along side others.
​
While on their journey towards Death Mountain, the four Link's became separated. Vio became lost in a strange forest, where he was found by Shadow Link. After speaking for a bit, Shadow believed he'd converted Vio to join his side. However, the purple hero was merely joining his side to gain intelligence.
​
After finding out that the dark mirror was their source of life, Vio went to destroy it. However, he couldn't do it because he'd grown to see Shadow not as an enemy, but as a misunderstood individual.
​
Despite this, he got caught. Shadow Link tied him, and two of the four swords to a stake above lava, and plotted to drop him within. Vio was lucky, however, as the other members of his team managed to save him in time.
​
After being saved, the four would attempt to stop Vaati and Ganon, only managing to succeed after Shadow sacrificed his life, much to Vio's dismay. Once the battle was won, the heroes planned to return the sword to its pedestal, (*headcanon) but decided to remain separate for the sake of Hyrule.
​
Because of his excursions, he is an avid believer that darkness and evil are two very separate things.
Hobbies/Interests
At this point, the events of the manga have been over for about two years, giving him more time for more interests (these were made through headcanon).
​
He enjoys reading. Especially in the history genre. He likely spends more time in the library than anywhere else.
​
Another hobby of his is training. Particularly archery training. Though he does train with his sword as well, he much prefers his archery. By this point in time, it's become extremely accurate.

(*Highly head canon) He enjoys sweet food. The habit came after the end of his initial adventure. Having small snacks while reading soon became a common thing. This turned into a search for the best desserts in Hyrule. It's a side hobby of his that he doesn't speak of much. But if a new person comes into his house, it's likely he'll offer them tea and cake.
Skills
Archery - Vio has excellent archery skills. He can shoot quickly and accurately without any issue.

Swordsmanship - Unlike other Link's, his swordsmanship is not as great as his archery. Though, he is still very proficient in sword usage. He has the same set of skills as his ancestors and descendants (such as the spin attack, stab, and other slices), he much prefers the arrow because it's easier for him to strategize and have time to attack from a distance away opposed to directly in front of his target.

Shield - Like with his sword, he has skills using his shield that he gained from other Link's. Though he primarily uses it for protection while using his sword, he also can use it to push his enemy back or merely nail them on the head.
​
Intelligence - Vio has a vast knowledge on magic and history. He's quick to strategize when against opponents, and can analyze them rather quickly.

Mental Health
Vio's biggest issue is his lack of displaying emotion due to his relaxed nature.
This will cause him to bottle up some of the rare emotions he does have, which can be bad for his mental health.
​
He also gained some depression and long lasting guilt from Shadow's sacrifice. Because of it, he's very protective of his friends.
